Electric two wheelers in Nepal – Motorcycle & Scooter

As of recently the Government of Nepal has been urging the public to lean towards electric vehicles (EV) more than the fossil fuel vehicles. Major reason being , the hike in price of these fossil fuels and also the degradation of environment health in the major cities of the country. The government of Nepal has even imposed very low rate of tax on the Electric vehicles that the pubic will be owning and using. The government imposes a tax of 10 % on purchase of any electric vehicles, comparing this percentage to the percentage that needs to be paid for fuel vehicles which is a whooping 261% upon purchase which is nearly 3 times the cost of what the bike should be costing. The government charges 10% tax per year on the electric vehicles and only 1% on the electric vehicles for public use. Why the difference between the fuel vehicles and electric vehicles one may ask. The main reason is that Nepal as a small country can not keep importing fossil fuels at high rates, as the country is landlocked and the only way to get the fuel is through the roads of Indian Borders or Chinese Borders and as past results have shown, India even if they may say are our brother nation have caused various blockades over the years which has caused the public of Nepal face various problems, from fuel shortage to various daily necessities shortage. As to address this as well, the government of Nepal has been urging the public to use more Electric Vehicles as Nepal in itself is self sufficient on the electricity production part, with various other Hydro-power projects to be completed in coming years. That means , Nepal can have as many Electric vehicles they want and can provide with the amount of energy consumed by the electric vehicles to the public without having to face any form of shortage or blockade. This makes the lives of the general public easier as well as healthier. The environment gets saved, the tax taken is lower, and the problem of having to pay huge amounts of money to foreign countries just to get fossil fuels , which if they want can cut off will not be a problem at all. Addressing all these problems we would like to suggest a few Electric two wheelers that you as the general public might want to try out and own in the near future if possible.
