International Women’s Day Celebrated By Google with Doodle

international women's dayToday 8th March it’s International Women’s Day. The event, born of the socialist movement in the United States the early 1900s, has spread across the world in the century since.

But the day looks very different across the globe, much like the differences in the lives of women worldwide. Here’s how the International Women’s Day Celebrated By Google with it’s google doodle.

The special day is on Thursday, March 8th and there is a web site devoted for it at internationalwomensday.com. It was originally named International Working Women’s Day and always is celebrated on March 8th. It was actually first observed on February 28, 1909. In Russia in 1965, it was the first time a country made the day a non working day.
