The much awaited flagship phone of Samsung, the Galaxy S4 has been finally officially released. Prior to the release, a lot of hype was created beginning with the first photo leak which appeared a month back in the website. Now that we have gotten our hands on the device, we can decide whether the S4 actually live up to its hype and whether it is worth upgrading for the Galaxy S3 users.

Display: First up let’s take a look at the hardware side of this device. The first thing you will notice is that Samsung Galaxy S4 has one of the biggest displays compared to other latest Smart phones in the market. The SGS 4 is equipped with a 5 inch 1920X1080 full HD (1080p) AMOLED screen with 441 ppi. Thus, the S4 screen is bigger than that of HTC One (4.7 inch), iphone 5 and Galaxy S3 (4.8 inch) but smaller than Galaxy Note 2(5.5 inch). The screen ppi of Galaxy s3 was only 360 ppi and 720 x 1,280 pixels. Also, the Galaxy S4 has corning Gorilla Glass 3 whereas Galaxy S3 has Gorilla Glass 2- regarding this we still don’t know how big a difference it is, all we know is that the former is superior. The largest mobile operator in Nepal Ncell introduced the latest flagship smart phone Samsung Galaxy SIII (S3) powered by Android latest operating system ice cream sandwich 4.0 in Nepal. Ncell already open it to book the smart phone as first come first service. As Ncell said it will be on  monthly basis as installment of NRs 6499.00 for 1 year premium plan.

The premium plan includes

Talk time     -   700 min/month (local only)

SMS      –      700/month (local only)

Internet data/month     -    70MB

With Galaxy S3, Samsung offer free 50GB of Dropbox account for each smart phone.

Galaxy S3 comes with white and blue color and 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB internal memory. It also include micro sd slot.

Currently Ncell is only accepting Bank of Kathmandu and Nabil Bank

Process to get Galexy S3 (by Ncell)

1. Get an approval from any of the outlets of Nabil Bank or Bank of Kathmandu.
2. Once approved, book your handset and pay the first month EMI to the Bank.
3. After that, visit your nearest Ncell Center along with the approval and complete the regular process for Pro subscription.
4. Receive your Samsung Galaxy SIII bundled with Pro Premium before anyone else.

I think it will be more better if it is 2 years contract / installment. As there will be less installment per month to pay. So it will be easy to get such flagship smart phone for more n more people.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has gone big innovation from its prevous version galaxy S2. It was first introduced in Europe here in UK  on 3rd May. It is still due for release in US on 21 Jun. Samsung Galaxy S3 also introduced in Nepal by Ncell.Ok,  now just going straight to the review and its features.

Samsung haven’t declared yet about its talk time on 2G, 3G, 4G and browsing time for the 2100 mAh battery.
