write short articles quickly

When you are at University, college or even if you’re a freelancer writer there are multiple types of work which you could be asked to complete. With essays and dissertations being prime examples of such, you might also be involved with a student publication which asks you to compose short articles relatively quickly. If your profession is as a freelance writer, creating short articles might be what you complete on a daily basis. No matter what the reason is, knowing how to do this in a relatively short amount of time could prove to be problematic especially if several different articles are due to be completed in very quick succession. If you find yourself in this situation, there is no need to worry because listed below are a few ideas about how to go about this.

Know your subject

As you would have been given your brief or handed title suggestions to your superior long before you start to compose it, you will know a fair idea about what is expected of your article. Therefore, it is recommended that the subject matter which will be the focus of what is about to be written should be kept in mind at all times so that the minimal word count which has been assigned to you is straight to the point with not a single word wasted. The person or countless number of people who are reading it will want to know exactly what you have to say about the subject Read more…

Why it is important to have an account on a social networking site

January 6th, 2012 No comments

When you are a business owner, the size of your company might be different from what a competitor is like. The approach of being listed in a Thomson directory or even the Yellow Pages still has its advantages as not everyone reverts to the internet in order to acquire information about the services of a company which is based nearby to them. However, for the vast majority of people the internet is used on a regular basis especially to find out the services which a person might be looking to hire. As there are millions of pages on the internet with the same amount appearing when a search is being carried out, helping you to stand out from the crowd is very important. By doing this will help what you have to offer being distinguishable from what other companies have to offer with the charge applied to joining a social networking site being zero.

In all, there are multiple social networking sites which you can join. This includes Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Each social networking site has their own audience. For example, it seems that the majority of the world has joined Facebook with some people even owning multiple accounts. Twitter is fast becoming one of the most popular sites in the world especially when celebrities have done exactly this with well-known brands also following suit. LinkedIn is often regarded as a version of Facebook but one which is used by businesses. Each has their own individual advantages but if they are all joined, this will provide greater scope to your business. This is particularly important when other competitors might be working in the same location as yourself but your results are often more successful than theirs with your client base being more substantial too. This is why no matter how big a company is, social networking plays a very important role in the way which it shapes how popular a business is. Read more…

Yeti Finger Mystery Solved

December 28th, 2011 No comments

The mystery of a yeti finger stolen from Nepal half a century ago and smuggled with the help of the actor James Stewart has been solved by scientists at Edinburgh Zoo, The finger is now held in the Royal College of Surgeons museum in London. The finger was taken from a Nepalese monastery by an American explorer in the 1950s. Stewart smuggled it out of India in his wife’s lingerie case. DNA tests found it to be human bone but not an Abominable Snowman called Yeti. “It was obviously slightly disappointing,” said researcher Rob Ogden of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.

yetifingerResearch carried out on a BBC documentary yesterday, tracked down 85 years old Mr Byrne, to his home in the US, where he confirmed it was the one taken from the monastery.

He Said “The temple had a number of Sherpa custodians,” “I heard one of them speaking Nepalese, which I speak. He told me that they had in the temple the hand of a yeti which had been there for many years

How NTC reduce cost by installing Google cache server in Nepal

How NTC reduce its cost with the installation of google cache server?

Recently Google installed it’s cache server in Nepal at Internet Exchange Point of Nepal telecom (NTC).

NTC is the only and biggest internet service provider in Nepal. It has certain bandwidth limit which NTC have to pay. Let say for example NTC bought 500MBPS internet bandwidth, that means NTC has maximum capacity of 500MBPS to transfer data at a time. It gives services to its customers by dividing the internet bandwidth of 500MBps , let say for 1000 customers if it divide equally,  it would be (5000/1000)=500Kbps for each customer.

If  all the 1000 customers excess the internet at a time using its full capacity of 500kbps, then the maximum (1000*500kbps=500MBps) capacity of the NTC will be used up. If there are more customer added let say 100 more customer, total will be 1100, if they excess the the internet same time they can’t get full bandwidth what they have of (500kbps) so its divided as (500MBps/1100) = 363.64kbps per customer.

Google Server in Nepal

September 16th, 2011 No comments

Google Inc installed the Google cache server in Nepal at NTC  office Jawalakhel Internet Exchange Point, operated by Nepal Telecom(NTC).

A Google cache server is a dedicated network server that saves Web pages or other Internet content locally. By placing previously requested information in temporary storage, or cache, a cache server both speeds up access to data and reduces demand on an enterprise’s bandwidth.

With the installation of google cache server the services provided by Google will be faster than before. Google services such as Gmail, Youtube etc will now be accessed faster from Nepal. This will also help NTC by reducing its bandwidth access and reduce its cost.

“After the installation of Google server, Internet bandwidth uses of NTC has been decreased” Said NTC representatives.
