How to hack your Facebook profile picture
You might have seen a cool Facebook profile picture hack going around blogs yesterday that used the new Facebook profile page layout to spread a picture across the sidebar and thumbnails. The effect can be seen in the below image.

Thousands of people are hacking the new-look Facebook profiles to jazz them up. Here’s how to do it yourself.
If you want to ‘reface’ your Facebook page, here’s how you do it.
• You’ll need to have activated the new Facebook profile page – if you have, you’ll see your basic biographical information at the top of the page and, below that, a photo strip of five recent photos that have been tagged with your name.
• You’ll also need a photo that’s at least 692 pixels wide – that’s the width of the page from the left-hand edge of your profile picture to the right-hand edge of the photo strip.
• The final thing you’ll need is a photo-editing program that allows you to crop images. If you don’t have a program on your computer, try an online editing service, such as Photoshop Express Read more…
wireless routers have liberated computers from restrictive ethernet cable connections, but they’re not completely problem-free.like any radio communication technology,WiFi is affected by interference from other devices, which can result in reduced data transfer speeds poor network range and dropped connections.
THE TROUBLE WITH 2.4GHZ
802.11b and 802.11g WiFi operates on the 2.4Ghz frequency,as do most 802.11n devices. The problem is that a host of other wireless devices also use this frequency and it’s pretty congested as a result.Baby monitors, DECT cordless phones ,Bluetooth headsets and other wireless PC peripherals all use the 2.4GHz part of the radio spectrum, with a WiFi signal.
The range of an indoor WiFi network can also be affected by the building materials that surround it. Wood, plaster and glass have little effect on 2.4GHz radio waves, but brick and concrete can impede them to some degree and metal can stop them completely. So, if your WiFi router is mounted on an interior brick wall or sitting on a metal shelf , it might be a good idea to move it. If you use Firefox or Google Chrome, all links automatically open in a new tab, which for me is more convenient. However, with IE 8, all links open in a new window, which is really annoying since it now supports multiple tabs! So how does one configure IE 8 so that clicked links are opened in a new tab? Here’s how.
First, open Internet Explorer and click on Tools and then Internet Options. Press the ALT key if you don’t see any of the menu items. Read more…
Finally my wordpress website is recovered this morning. In previous post I wrote that its take around 20 min to setup but due to import problem from my local host it took long time. Actually when i try to import the attach file (image, video, multimedia) are not imported it said the 404 error for attach file and on my site the file(image) link are liked to my localhost. So to solve this I have edited the exported xml file from wordpress localhost, I replace the (http://localhost/ashesh.com.np/…) with (http://www.ashesh.com.np/…) . And for the attach file on wp-contain I manually transfer the uploads file form localhost to server from filezilla ftp transfer. Now finally my site is live and functioning superbest
Apple rates the iPhone 3G’s talk time at 5 hours over the high-speed 3G network. While the call quality seems vastly improved due to more data being passed through the 3G pipe, some of the more chatty among us may find that 3G isn’t just fast — it’s non-user-replaceable-battery draining fast!
Don’t care as much about speed and clarity as you do sheer volume of talk time? Or what if you’re just in an area that’s not (yet?) covered by 3G? You’re in luck! Apple has provided a way to turn off the 3G — and blazing fast broadband-like HSPA speed that goes with it — and drop back down to 2.5/2.75G — and the dial-up-eque EDGE that is turtle to the 3G hare.
Boom! 10 hours of talk time! (And for those of you in countries with more restrictive/ridiculous data caps, a way to help pace yourself and starve your data-hungry iPhone).
Just remember: slow data transfer, not as good call quality, no simultaneous voice and data (you can’t talk and surf the web on EDGE at the same time).
Step-by-step instructions after the break!

I’m not entirely sure how I ended up finding this page on YouTube’s site, but I’m always interested in seeing real-world bandwidth tests, and YouTube probably burns up more bandwidth than any other domain on the planet, so they have some rich data from which to draw upon. Make sure you’re logged into YouTube, then check out their historical speed page. The above screenshot shows that I consume YouTube videos at 4.66Mbps average speed; I was surprised to see that the average GB rating, and the global rating, were low.
