Ghatasthapana, the first day of the Greatest Festival of Nepal Bada Dashain-Nava Ratra is being observed in Nepal beginning today, September 30, 2008.

In Ghatasthapana-literally meaning pot establishing begins by planting Jamara.Happy Vijaya Dashami

The Jamara is a sacred grass germinated from the Barley or Maize seeds which have special significance for the Hindus world over.

On Dashami (10th day of the festival), elders put Tika and Jamara on the forehead and head and bless the youngsters for a happy and prosperous life.

The Ashesh would like to wish the Hindus World Over and my well wishers a Happy and Prosperous Bada Dashin-2065…(Happy Vijaya Dashami)

AT THE WHEEL OF WEB2.0

September 23rd, 2008 No comments

FIREFOX IS WELL placed to take advantage of the so-called Web2.0 -becoming an information broker instead of being only an application to display web pages. With its nature of being made for actively pulling content, and a very large community around it that constantly keeps improving it, Firefox has been the browser of choice for a lot of web services and it is routinely seen that developers target this browser first when releasing a new service.

The fact that it is open-source helps too; it gets extended far beyond its original capabilities with the help of add-ons made by developers and enthusiastic users.

Today i have just looked on my web statistic to see which browser is most used. I was sure that firefox will be on top, but i don’t believe that firefox has over 50%.
I think it is due to its descent performance, as well it’s cool add ons. So, Firefox Rocks!!!
